Cushing Village is a mixed-use, smart growth community planned for the Cushing Square area of Belmont Massachusetts, offered by Smith Legacy Partners. As the Cushing Village Project moves forward, we wanted to create a place that keeps you informed and provides a venue for addressing issues that may arise.
The process for development has been a very long one. Just formulating the plans in context with the needs and preferences of the community has been a rewarding challenge. As final designs began to take shape, and the unique features emerged, we knew we had a plan that was unlike any other. We are delighted with the final versions and are honored to bring this plan to the town in short order.

Before any permits are issued or any ground is broke, we would like the residents of Belmont to take a good look at this section of property and imagine a fresh new series of structures that offers 120 residential units combined with 30,000 square feet of retail space. The details of the new structures, and their unique designs can be found on our web site, but can also be seen here on the blog as we introduce each building and follow its progress. Also note that the main detriment to this part of town, the isolated area of contamination, has been addressed with the clean-up phase already wrapping up. Further construction with the Cushing Village project will allow the remaining deeper areas to be excavated further for a complete transformation. The overwhelming benefits of this project will bring new life to a block that has seen better days.

Again, please visit this blog and our web site often to be regularly informed of the the current progress. We would also love for you to give us feeback and ideas.....we are a company with strong generational ties to the community of Belmont, and want to continue to develop in a way that perpetuates our commitment to smart growth and intuitive design for future generations.
